It's been awhile since I've logged in. I'm not a pro at this blogging stuff. But, I've done some fun shoots in the last few months! My favorite was photographing the Mens' World Cup Downhill at Beaver Creek, otherwise known as the Birds of Prey Race. It was an amazing experience. I shot the team working out at the gym, training, tuning their skis, the bib draw, the press conferences, and of course, the races... Downhill, Super G, and GS. I got to meet Marco Sullivan, Ted Liggety, Bode Miller, Eric Fisher, TJ Lanning, Andrew Weibrecht, and many others. Side slipping the mens downhill course and then photographing with crampons on my boots due to the extreme ice was a challenge.
The hard work paid off. My photo of Aksel Svindal was on the cover of Ski Racing Magazine in January and they used 23 other photos on the inside. Since then, I've been keeping busy with the ski racing coverage going to mostly Jr. Events from FIS races to "the little kids" at YSLs.
